I watched the Dr Phil show yesterday, as I do daily, and he gave this book away to the audience. When he closed the show he said you could get this 20/20 App FREE. It is not FREE you have to have bought the book and answer a question from it to validate and open the App. Very disappointed in your misleading information!!!
When u sign up and the question pops up just type in the number 10
When it gives you a notification, you cant clear it. So your phone always has the 1 by the App - thats annoying. Additionally, you cant check off meals and workouts. You overwrite your weight and measurements, so you cant even see your progress. So really, it is an App that just gives you 20 recipes. I did lose weight on Phase One though.
Thought Dr. Phile was better than this
Thank you dr.phil I hope That people will get the app
iPhone app on iOS 9.3.1 is glitching. Adding either food or exercise to log produces a the goal screen but says "0 goals reached". Also initially adding your weight in the "progress" menu (not in measurements) is setting a default date of December of 1969. If you go in through measurements it gives todays date. But not in the progress menu. Disappointed with this.
The app doesnt let you provide feedback. It gives an error message that the email hasnt been filled in when my email has been entered. When trying to log food it comes back with an error message that it "cant connect to server". It needs work.
App seems to work fine, however needs more substance. Why not include a grocery list, 20/20 food reminder, ALL the recipes, food diary, and a progress tracker? I bought the book and the diet is working fine, however would like to see an app on the scale of weight watchers. Id say its not much of an asset for the diet yet-needs serious tweaking
I like the app but agree there could be more features. However my biggest issue is that the pictures included with the recipes are very misleading. As a photographer I understand the need to make things look pretty. But when Im trying to lose weight it is not helpful to see pictures of foods that I cannot eat. Many of the pictures have other ingredients that are not included in the recipes. Many people that are on the diet have noticed this and complained about it to me.
I hope they add the grocery lists. That would be very helpful!
Needs a grocery list and all the recipes. Also some type of tracker for meals, workouts, and progress. Also constantly says I have a missed notifications - I am a bit annoyed by the red "1" on the corner of the app.
Unable to register because "my email is registered" tried log on with my most likely used password and then tried to reset password. Endless loop. For technical support it sends you to the dr Phil site. ?? You could get lost for days on his site. This app came out before it was ready and I find it really really odd that there is not even 1 tiny update since its 12/2 launch. VERY DISAPPOINTED. shoddy app
Annoying that the photos of the recipes show ingredients not allowed in the phases, Don’t show me cheese in an omelet if I can’t have cheese. Don’t show tomatoes if they aren’t allowed. It is irritating. I am having to go between the book and the app to find the recipes. All the recipes should be in the app. There should be a Dr Phil supported Facebook page to offer support and new ideas for ways to combine the foods listed. The worst part is the recording measurements. I can’t see the progress because there is no chart available. Once you enter new numbers, your old ones are gone. I have had to make my own spread sheet to track what I am eating and how much I exercise, along with the weights. That could be part of the app. Pretty disappointed with the App at this point. Hoping you make improvements.
The only saving grace is the videos of the exercises. Otherwise, the app is poorly designed. Theres a place to put in your weight and measurements, but no tracker to show the changes. Recipe pictures show ingredients that are not in the recipe and not allowed. Many recipes from the book are missing. No grocery list, no motivational messages other than telling you to remember to eat. Really a disgrace - hard to believe Dr. Phils team thought this was okay.
As with all new things that are just released there is always room for improvement. The positives are being able to track my progress, alarms to remind me when to eat, excercises, and recipes at my fingertips. I think it would be great if all the recipes in the book were also in the app. As it is a more strict diet in the beginning the pictures being a true representation of the food would be fantastic (especially for someone new to cooking). A grocery list feature would be AWESOME! Thank you for an incredible diet plan that tastes good, is filling, and has given me a ton of energy. I just completed day 3 of phase 1 and cannot wait for phase 2!
Could not restart or reset password, would even update not much there expected so much more
I love it and it is working. I see a huge difference in my waist and my pants are starting to fall off. I cant wait until spring when I can start riding my bike. I will wait to get weighed at my doc. appt. in April to see exactly how much I lost. Oh, I did fall off a few times but got right back on the next day.
Very disappointing! Cant believe you can not even track your daily meals, exercise or progress. Waste of time!
This is just a carbon copy of the book. You cannot add recipes to it. You cannot even track your progress! You enter all of your measurements, but there is no way to see them again to see if youve improved! What is the point?!
