In The 20/20 Diet, Dr. Phil McGraw identifies seven reasons other diets fail people over and over again: hunger, cravings, feeling of restriction, impracticality and expense, boredom, temptations, and disappointing results or plateaus.

Then, he addresses each of these roadblocks by applying the latest research and theories that have emerged since his last best seller on the same topic, The Ultimate Weight Solution.

Dr. Phil and his team have created a plan that you can start following right now and continue working for the rest of your life. In this diet, readers will start by eating only 20 key ingredients, called the “20/20 Foods,” which theories indicate may help enhance your body’s thermogenesis and help you feel full. But thats just the beginning.

This book explains why you havent been able to lose the weight before, and empowers you with cognitive, behavioral, environmental, social and nutritional tools so you can reach your goal, and learn lifelong healthy habits to maintain those results.

Pros and cons of The 2020 Diet app for iPhone and iPad

The 2020 Diet app good for

So in order for this app to work yOu have to buy the book just to validate the app. Yea this app is not free!! sorry dr. Phil!!
Its a decent app. Validation can me found through Google. Its 7 by the way
Down 4 lbs in the first 5 days and never was hungry. If you have not bought the book, go out and get it. It is worth the money you spend. Love the recipes.

Some bad moments

The app is ok. B Im trying to reset my password because I forgot my password, the reset link does not work so the app is crap
You have to buy the book to use the app, not everyone has easy access to bookstores, or the money to buy it, Im disappointed in this, not everyone who needs help losing weight has the money to buy a book, if we did wed buy a gym membership, it needs some sort of free access or lite version
I only have a 4th gen iPod, and I was disappointed that it only works for a certain generation of iPod.
On Dr Phils recent show he said this app is free. Its only free if you buy his book. You have to enter a code found in the book in order to complete the sign up process.
The 20/20 diet is really pointless to get as the app because they make you answer a question from the book to sign up so really if you want this just buy the book because the app is pointless
When this app was introduced on the show it was stated that it was free it is not free to everyone. You must buy the book on order to get the answer to the validation question which BTW the answer is 7. Misleading to say that it is free. Go to Dr. Oz he has a free weight loss plan.
